“Treatment of sleep apnea can be highly effective for some patients as it has been shown to improve symptoms, reduce blood pressure, reduce the risk of motor vehicle accidents, among other benefits. A strong argument can be made that early treatment may be beneficial since the consequences of disease may become irreversible if the disease is longstanding. Thus, treatment of patients with mild OSA and/or at young ages may be a useful strategy.

I have been involved with eXciteOSA® device and have been doing ongoing research on this treatment. I am optimistic that this treatment will be an important treatment approach for patients with snoring and with mild sleep apnea.”

“My practice is limited to treating patients with sleep disorders such as snoring, obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) and sleep bruxism. The tongue is often the reason I struggle to provide a total resolution of symptoms with a Mandibular Advancement Device for my patients who are snorers and apnoeacs, mild to severe. This is a result of the multifactorial nature of the disease.

eXciteOSA® has given me the additional treatment option I have been looking for to achieve complete success. eXciteOSA®, a 20 min daytime treatment primarily for snoring and mild OSA has the potential to increase the efficiency of a Mandibular Advancement Device. The technology is sophisticated and I can see this being easily accepted by snorers and mild apnoea patients who may want to give themselves an occasional break from using a device at night as the lasting effect of the treatment can reduce snoring and daytime symptoms (daytime sleepiness, fatigue, irritability). In mild cases it may be the ultimate treatment option without the need for any further intervention.”

“We believe that eXciteOSA® therapy will be able to help many patients in the near future, either as a single treatment in mild cases, or in combination with other treatments in more severe cases, as it influences one of the pillars of this pathology.”

“I have been very surprised by this device. The feedback and adherence from the patients have been excellent, reporting an improvement in their snoring. The integration between the app and the device work is smooth, easy, and intuitive. Excellent idea!”

“Having done some work with the eXciteOSA® device, I have been positively encouraged and impressed with the early results in patients with snoring and mild sleep apnoea. It is a novel device with the obvious advantage of not having to utilise it during sleep which is the case with mandibular advancement devices or CPAP therapy. Thus patient compliance is much better as is the tolerability and acceptability.

I believe that the eXciteOSA® device will play a large role in helping to treat patients with sleep disordered breathing; in particular, those with primary snoring as well as those with mild obstructive sleep apnoea leading to improved sleep quality for both the patient and the partner.

“As a pulmonologist, it has become apparent to me that there is a vast unmet therapeutic need in snoring and mild sleep apnea. It is not only the patients that do not tolerate nighttime mouth pieces, but also the patients that do tolerate them-but wish there was an alternative non-invasive solution that was not used nocturnally. These patients are numerous. I am very excited to finally offer them this solution”

“As a dentist, many people ask me about the personal problem of snoring. It affects both men and women, and for some people, it is very embarrassing. Until recently, the only solution was to physically open the airway during sleeping, by using a custom-made device, called a mandibular advancement device.

When I learned about eXciteOSA®, I wasn’t sure if I believed it, but I tried it myself, and after a few weeks, my wife noticed a clear difference. What is truly revolutionary is that this device actually strengthens the muscles that go slack and cause snoring. And in addition, my patients do not need to wear anything at night, meaning that they and their partners can get a great quality sleep”

“eXciteOSA® is a much needed treatment option for patients suffering from snoring and/or mild sleep apnea. This device is unique as it is worn briefly during the day and thus no interference with sleep. There is no other product on the market like eXciteOSA®.”
